RIO Germination set

Complementary feed for pet birds. Germinated seeds and grains are a perfect alternative to seeds in a milky-wax stage, which make up the diet of the birds in natural environment. In comparison with a regular seed mixture, germinated seeds are full of enzymes, vitamins and minerals, which can help to prevent the effects of malnutrition.

  1. Remove the net from the plastic container and rinse the seeds thoroughly under warm running water. Then put the net back in the plastic container and pour water into it so that it completely covers the seeds. Don’t be afraid to pour a little more water: seeds will absorb some of the water when swelling. Leave the seeds at room temperature for 8-12 hours so they can soften and swell.
  2. Remove the net with the swollen seeds from the plastic container and drain the remaining water. Rinse the seeds thoroughly under warm running water and then put the net back in the container (without water). Loosely cover the container with the cap (to prevent the top layer from drying) and place it in warm place for 8-12 hours.
  3. Repeat the procedure described in paragraph 2 daily for 3-5 days until the seeds germinate. The optimal length of the seedlings – 1-4 mm.
